Find Cell Towers in Spain: Movistar, Orange, Vodafone, Digi

Find Movistar, Orange, Vodafone, Yoigo and Digi antennas near you in Spain, read the network codes, fix signal in the España vaciada, and aim a 4G/5G router.

Spain has two coverage countries in one: the coasts, the islands and the big cities, dense with 5G and crowded every summer, and the interior — the España vaciada of Castilla, Aragón and Extremadura — where a pueblo may hang off a single antenna on the next hill. Cell Tower Finder & Locator maps the known antennas across Spain with each site’s operator, network generation, distance and compass bearing, on iPhone and Android, with the app’s interface available in Spanish.

The networks on the map

OperatorNetwork code (MCC-MNC)Notes
Vodafone214-01Owned by Zegona since 2024; also behind Lowi
Orange (MasOrange)214-03Merged with MásMóvil in 2024; also behind Jazztel and Simyo
Yoigo / MásMóvil (MasOrange)214-04Same group as Orange since 2024; also behind Pepephone and Lebara
Movistar (Telefónica)214-07Largest footprint; also behind O2 Spain; hosts Digi where Digi has no site
Digi214-22Building its own network; uses Movistar’s elsewhere

Since the MasOrange merger you’ll see both the Orange and Yoigo codes on the map while the networks are combined, so keep both filters on if you’re on either. Vodafone and MasOrange also share many rural sites. Spain’s 3G networks are being switched off from 2025 onward, so filter on 4G and 5G; 2G remains for now.

Where the antennas are, and why the band matters

  • Cities and the coast have dense grids with 5G on 3.5 GHz spectrum: fast, but short-range, and summer crowds can make a well-covered beach town feel slow.
  • The interior is served by fewer sites on low-band 700 and 800 MHz, placed on high ground and along the autovías — a single antenna can cover a wide stretch of meseta.
  • The islands and the mountains — the Baleares, the Canarias, the Pyrenees, the Picos — are one-antenna country, which is exactly where comparing operators before you buy a finca, book a casa rural or pick a SIM pays for itself.

Antenna positions come from aggregated public and community-sourced data, so they’re close estimates rather than official coordinates. The operators’ coverage maps and the Spanish government’s broadband coverage portal give the official picture; use the map here for the actual sites, their distance and bearing, and the radar and AR views.

Check the antenna before the finca: See which networks have built around a pueblo, an urbanización or a flat — Cell Tower Finder & Locator is free on the App Store and Google Play and shows every nearby antenna with operator, generation, distance and bearing.

How to use the map in Spain

  1. Compare networks around an address before switching or moving — which carriers have towers near you shows the method, and checking cell coverage before moving covers the whole house-move checklist.
  2. Scout somewhere you haven’t been with pin drop: a casa rural in Extremadura, an apartment in Málaga, a finca in Mallorca.
  3. Aim a 4G/5G home router. The operators’ internet-en-casa routers are small directional radios; the right window and the right bearing can double the speed. Use the radar view for the exact bearing and confirm with the built-in speed test — the technique is in pointing an antenna at a cell tower and the 4G/5G home internet antenna setup guide.
  4. Fix signal in the pueblo or on the water. An external directional antenna aimed at the one site that reaches you often beats changing operator; see better cell signal in rural areas and, for the Mediterranean, cell signal on a boat.

5G on the map versus the icon on your phone

Spanish operators light up 5G across the interior on 700 MHz and with spectrum sharing, so the icon can say 5G while the speed is plain 4G; the 5G people notice is the 3.5 GHz layer in towns. Most 5G sits on existing sites, so a record may show its 4G identity while your phone displays 5G. 4G vs 5G towers explains the mechanics.

FAQ

Is the app available in Spanish?

Yes — the interface is localized in Spanish, and the antenna data covers Movistar, Orange, Yoigo, Vodafone and Digi sites across the peninsula, the Baleares and the Canarias. Positions are estimates from public and community-sourced data rather than operator surveys.

Which network is best in my pueblo?

It changes from one comarca to the next. Filter the map by operator around your actual address, compare distances and 5G availability, and remember that a low-cost brand is only as good as its host network’s nearest antenna.

Can it show which antenna my phone is connected to?

On iPhone no app can; on Android your phone’s own settings can show the serving cell. The map’s job is to show every antenna around you so you know where better signal is coming from.
